Japan now has small jars of rather sweet stuff called peanut cream available, but I much prefer to eat just the crunchy, natural version-- ground up peanuts with salt. So I always pack the Trader Joe's variety when I go (almost every summer) to Japan. My husband grew up in southern Japan with his missionary parents.
